Vietnam in 1960's
Most of the Vespa and Lambretta
scooters in Vietnam were imported from France ( ACMA ) and
Italy. The ACMA - the most beautiful vintage Vespa - were
brought to Vietnam in the early of 1950's. The Standards,
Supers, Sprints appear in 1960's. In that day, Most of them were
just for rich people or people who worked in the government
because it cost a patrimony! From 1990's, the Vespa and
Lambretta scooters were generally considered to be a lesser bike - status symbol wise.
The people that bought and rode those were more working class. Nowadays, old Vespa and Lambretta are very highly valued there as a fashion statement.
